Who We Are
We are a small, talented, experienced team under Edward Yaeger, who has been helping students get into top colleges and graduate schools for over a decade, first at Kaplan, then at Noodle, and now as the founder of Tip Top Admissions. A first-generation college graduate, Edward holds a BA from Columbia, a company-sponsored MBA from NYU Stern, a company-sponsored MPA from Harvard, and an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern. He also served as an undergraduate admissions student officer at Columbia, and he remains an active alumni representative for both Columbia and Harvard. **Read Edward's article on the Huffington Post about what to consider before matriculating.** **Read Edward's musings on Substack about collegiate elitism in the U.S.** |
What We Do
Quite simply, we help students get into their top choices of colleges and graduate schools, whether it’s an Ivy League university like Dartmouth, a liberal arts college like Williams, a military school like West Point, or an art school like Rhode Island School of Design.
97% of our standard-package students have been accepted to at least one of their top three schools of choice.
Some of the schools to which our students have been accepted include:

How We Work
We take an individualized approach depending on where the student is in the application process and on where the student is looking to apply. Ideally, the student would begin working with us in their sophomore year. This might seem premature, but the reality is that the student has only three years -- less if the students intends to apply early -- to not only excel academically but also create a narrative that both stands out from the crowd and resonates among admissions officers. If, for example, a student comes to us in their senior year, then they will be limited in their presentation as a candidate (i.e., what’s done is done); whereas, if they come to us earlier, then we can begin to craft a profile that’s consistent, authentic, ethical, and compelling from the start, even (and especially) as the student matures throughout high school.
We assist students in everything from SAT/ACT-prep, to internship brainstorming, to college applications, to securing financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
